Transitions for The Single Midlifers

About Linda

I've been married (a few times), divorced (twice), widowed (once) and now happily single for several years. Following my first divorce, I found it quite difficult to stay alone and found myself in other relationships quite fast (the fact that I was a widow at 21 didn't help). It took a while but I finally learned the importance of knowing who I am, of loving and accepting who I am and of living an authentic life.

Apart from the joy of being a mother of two and grand-mother of one, I also experience joy by continually setting new targets for my life.  My "low-level mid-life crisis" in my 40's has given me first-hand knowledge in how difficult it is to 'bounce-back'.

I have personal experiences with blended families, abuse, family members who have dementia, or mental illness,  addictions or poor habits,  unemployment, being told to leave my job (not passing a probation period) and starting over several times.

I've been a coach for several years, and have also worked in the mental health system, educational system and a police force. I'm also an employment consultant and can assist you with your job search needs especially when you are starting over. I've worked for not for profits organizations and through them have developed a keen sense of my client's needs.

I earned the designation of Professional Certified Coach (PCC) through Relationship Coaching Institute in California and am a member of the International Coach Federation (ICF) (Ottawa Chapter). The ICF sets the standards and Code of Ethics for the coaching profession.

Since determining what I truly wanted, I have lived a life of opportunity and abundance, which has included living and working in various parts of Ontario, including Ottawa, Canada’s Capital.

I started writing articles as the Solution Lady, a few years ago, when I was having to find solutions for every part of my personal life. I'll often write or do short videos about change, wellness, relationships and redesigning yourself and you can read some of my articles on my blog or on Ezine. Some of the articles I wrote during the challenging times were also published on www.divorce360.com. If you’d like to know more about my educational background, please check my LinkedIn profile.

Finally, during the last few years, life’s opportunities taught me the value of relationships, the importance of communication and mutual respect, as well as self-care and self-love.

I'm a coach and would enjoy helping you to design the best life possible now that you're in midlife.

Merci Linda ! "  Ann D.

"Linda has experienced what I am feeling and has found the path out of darkness to sunshine. Her tips of how I can get out of my rut and onto a path were appreciated." Michael
